Shirley Davis Jorgensen, resident of Willow Glen, San Jose, passed away October 7, 2013. Shirley was born and raised in Idaho Falls, ID, moving to Santa Cruz with Western Union Telegraph in 1945. Beloved wife of Kenneth Gene (deceased), Mother of Marlene C. Wilgis (Doug) and Diana Jane Leinberger (Kent). Loving Grandmother to Allen Swanson, Matt Swanson, Dustin Boone and Brandon Boone. Shirley was very active in the LDS Church all her life and loved doing community service for many organizations. Her special group of volunteers was often referred to as "Shirley's Angels". She was a member of San Jose Historical Museum, Daughters of Utah Pioneers and enjoyed her work at San Jose Unified School District for 12 years. Shirley loved camping, travelling, singing, reading, antiques, gardening and being with friends and family. She will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity. Memorial Service will be held October 26, 2013, 1:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1336 Cherry Ave, San Jose. CA.
