She was born March 19, 1941, in Craig, the daughter of Harold and Joan Walkup Gray.
She married Richard Sprague Feb. 27, 1961 in Savannah. He survives of the home.
She graduated from Craig High School in 1959 and the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1962.
She worked as a registered nurse for Lee's Summit Family Care until her retirement in 1999 and then did volunteer work at Cass Medical Center, Harrisonville. She lived in Lee's Summit before moving to Harrisonville in 1997.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Glorified Homemakers and Christian Women's Group, all of Harrisonville.
she was preceded in death by her father, Harold Gray, and a daughter, Meredith Sprague.
Her mother, Joan Gray, died March 17.
She is also survived by a son, Chris Sprague of Lee's Summit; a daughter, Darci Ellison of Independence; a sister, Pam Nowling of Vacaville, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services were March 6, at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville. The body was cremated.
