Danny Thomas Hawkins, age 61, of Ringos Mill Road, Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015, at U. K. Medical Center in Lexington.

Born November 18, 1953, in Hillsboro, he was a son of the late Eugene Thomas and Mildred Collins Hawkins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Riggs of Maysville and Leota Jett of Wallingford.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, whom he married April 11, 1975; one son, three brothers, three brothers and two sisters, several nieces and nephews; and two grand puppies, Bailey and Pepper Jack.


He graduated from Fleming County High School and completed an associate degree at Morehead State University. Danny was a sales associate at the Morehead Wal-Mart and a member of the Tilton United Methodist Church where he was Superintendent and Sunday school teacher.


Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015, at Tilton United Methodist Church with Brother Gaylord Gillespie and Brother Gail Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
