The day after completing high school Char was coaxed by a girlfriend to drive out to San Diego, CA in her convertible to start a new adventure. One long bus ride later and shortly after their arrival the girlfriend high-tailed it home, but not Char, she quickly found solace in her new home state, and love. Charlene's son Tony was born in November of 1945.
In 1972 she found and married the love of her life, Arnott Tait and the size of her family tripled overnight. Char traveled the world with Arnie, enjoyed a long life together and will now be laid to rest next to him this Saturday. Char was an avid bowler, golfer and dog lover. We will miss her warm heart, triumphant stories and contagious laugh.
Char is survived by brother and sister-in law Ben and Carolyn York, daughter-in-law Trish Schaffer and granddaughters Amber & Heather McCanna.
