Terri was born on November 9, 1953, in Mount Gilead, to the late Clarence R. Mathews and Maxine A. Sterritt. She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the class of 1972.
On December 29, 1971, Terri married the love of her life, Robert “Jack” Wilson. Together they have shared over 43 wonderful years of marriage.
For many years Terri worked at HPM as their inventory analyst. After HPM closed their doors, she worked nearly 9 years for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as a trainer for the call center.
Terri enjoyed flowers and taking care of her garden. She liked to quilt and crochet various items for herself, family, and friends. Terri liked to collect teddy bears of all different types and enjoyed trips across the country in their RV with Jack. Terri also loved every chance she got to watch her grandsons play ice hockey.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Jack; daughters: Crissy (Rory) Burgin of Mt. Sterling, and Bobbi Jo (Bob) Everly of Galion; grandchildren: Eilliot Burgin, Ian Burgin, Ciara Everly, and Meagan Everly; a brother: Ron (Linda) Mathews; step-sisters: Melody (Dean) Levering of Caledonia, and Laura (Russ) Ghent of Florida; her mother-in-law, Louise Simmons of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents; a nephew, Tony Mathews; and a step-sister, Lisa Thomas.
Her family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel. 67 N. Main Street, Mount Gilead. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Pam Lamb-Hart officiating. A private family burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery.
