Darlene "Maxie" Wilkerson, 79, Cadiz, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at her home of natural causes.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, at Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Gregory Stallworth officiating.

Burial will be at Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home.

A native of Trigg County, she was born April 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Edgar and Laura Jane Dillard Wilford.

She worked in production at Faultless for 15 years. She was a member of Montgomery Elizabeth Baptist Church since 1948 and served on the Mother's Board.

She was preceded in death by three children; two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include her special friend, Armie Lee Shemwell; six daughters, Brenda (Garland) Hollins and LaTasha Wilkerson, both of Columbia, S.C., Cassandra Jane Wilkerson Carter, Lenora Lynn Wilkerson (George) Gordon, Stephanie D. (Joel) Humphries, Veronica D. Wilkerson, all of Cadiz; three sons, Michael D. Wilkerson, Arnold R. Wilkerson, Gracey, Henry Wilkerson III, Cadiz; one brother, Edmond Wilford, Cadiz; three sisters, Marion Wilford, Cadiz, Julia Blaine Coolridge, Louisville, Della Wilford, Indianapolis; 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
