Letha M. Jackson, 89, of Pine Mountain, GA quietly passed away October 20, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Jackson was born May 18, 1926 in Platte, SD to the late Loyal A. Buchtel and Clarinda DeWall Buchtel. She was married for 57 years to the late J.C. Jackson and was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Mrs. Jackson was associated with the Order of Eastern Star and Woodmen of the World. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marletta Venable.

Survivors include her children, Cheryle Ann (Randy) Mathews, David Allen (Mi Hui) Jackson, Carol Diane Jackson, and Robert Michael (Cathy) Jackson; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Delma Rhoades; brother, Loyal "Sonny" Buchtel; brothers-in-law, James (Bettie) Jackson and Billy (Linda) Jackson; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Lamar Truitt and Mr. James Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, October 23, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
