Frank Pribble was a Sheriffs Deputy for San Bernardino County in California for 10 years. He died in the line of duty at age 36. He graduated from Pacific High School in 1956. Him and his partner was following a pickup truck with a camper on the rear. They were looking for a suspect in a shooting. The suspect, Virgil Scott, opened fire with a Rifle from the camper, striking Deputy Pribble in the back. His partner returned fire and wounded the suspect. As Deputy Pribble was bleeding on the ground, he warned people to get out of the way, he didn't want them hurt. Both suspect and Deputy was taken to the same hospital, where they both died from their wounds. Deputy Pribble was survived by his wife Faye and son Matthew.
