Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; his son, Stacy Smith and his wife, Marti of Sudan, Texas; his daughter Kenda Smith of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Gwen Leroy of Dallas, Texas and Carolyn Parish of Boyd, Texas; and three grandchildren, Tyler Smith and his wife, Morgan of Amarillo, Texas, Trae Smith of Sudan, Texas and Lance Smith of Sudan, Texas.
