Philip Stewart Lowe, 83, formerly of North East, MD and Ocean View, DE. died in Sarasota, FL on September 25, 2015 with his sister by his side.

Born in Crisfield, MD he was a son of the late Ira and Frances Lowe.

He is survived by his sister, Ada Wells; Brother-In-Law, Walker Wells; and a niece, Robin Wells, all of Sarasota, Fl. A nephew, Walker T. Wells (spouse Janet) and his sons, Walker and Connor Wells, all of Plainfield, IL; and a great-nephew, Daniel Philip Wells of Joliet, IL.

Philip was very active in the North East Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Northern Chesapeake Hospice, North East Rotary Club, and the North East Yacht Club. He was honored with being voted "Maryland's Most Beautiful People Volunteer Award" in 1996. He said that was the "highlight of his life." He did so many wonderful things for people of the community - too numerous to mention.

He served his country in Okinawa as a B-29 crew member flying night strikes against North Korea. He volunteered to do a double mission tour there. He talked about the B-29 plane and had a picture of it.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Sunny Ridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
