Edith Allene Waggoner, 91, passed away May 28, 2015 in Joplin, MO. Edith was born February 22, 1924 in Miller, MO to Guy V. Pettit Sr. and Ada P (Jones) Pettit. She was born and raised in Miller, spent time in Carthage, and Lamar area and had been in Joplin for the last 5 years. Edith was a seamstress and worked at Big Smith Manufacturing for 20 years. She attended the Masters Touch Ministries in Joplin. She enjoyed fishing and family get-togethers. Edith was united in marriage to James Preston Waggoner July 19, 1942 in Lamar Missouri he preceded her in death July 11, 1992. Edith is survived by one son, two grandchildren, three great granddaughters, nieces and nephews [survivors names omitted]. Edith is preceded by her parents and husband two sisters Freda Stamate of Sacramento, CA, and Virginia Clements of Lamar, MO, one brother Guy V. Pettit Jr. of Martinez, CA, one grandson Bryan Waggoner Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday June 2, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.--Ulmer Funeral Home
