Harvey Austin, 68, died of a heart attack at 3:45 Tuesday afternoon. He was stricken in the yard of his home, 612 S. Willow Street.

Born April 12, 1890, near Wheatfield, in Jasper County, he was the son of Sylvester and Amanda Root Austin. His marriage on March 10, 1920, was to Sarah Skiles.

For the past 12 years he had worked in factories here and prior to that had been a farmer, living north of Pyrmont.

He was a member of the Flora Old Order German Baptist Church, having become a member of that denomination on Jan. 12, 1908.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Lawrence, Flora; Marvin, Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; four brothers and a sister, Alpha, Frankfort Rt. 7; Maynard, Rossville, Rt. 1, Jesse, Flora; Willie, Frankfort Rt. 1; Mrs. Ruby Skiles, Pratt, Kansas.

One son and one sister preceded him in death.

Leither funeral home is in charge. Friends may call at the residence after seven o'clock this evening, but are asked to omit flowers. Services will be Friday at two o'clock at the Flora Old Order German Baptist church. Harvey Wagoner and Clem Skiles will be in charge. Burial will be in Middlefork cemetery, southwest of Rossville.
