Edward Henry RHODES (10/03/1928 - 09/09/2015)

RHODES, Edward Henry Longtime resident of Chewelah passed away September 9, 2015. Ed was born October 3, 1928 to Arthur and Emma Rhodes, the third of eight children, in Solon Springs, WI.

He joined the Army Air Corps at age 17. During his military career, he was stationed throughout the United States as well as Iceland and two tours of Vietnam.

In 1952 he married Loretta Duclos at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chewelah. They recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. After retiring from the Air Force, Ed was employed by N.W. Alloys where he retired after 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Ed is survived by his wife, Loretta, at the home; sons, Steve (Susan) and Greg (Karen); daughters Janna (Don) and Gina; sister Dorothy; brothers Bill, Eugene and Kenneth; twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A Rosary will be held at 7 P.M. Thursday, September 17th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 502 E. Main, Chewelah, WA. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 18th, 11 A.M. with a reception at the Legion Hall in Chewelah after the Funeral Mass.
