Death was unexpected and attributed to cardiac arrest.
She was born Sunday, February 6, 1944 at Pendleton County, WV a daughter of the late Carl Eston and Holly Cooper Huffman.
On January 19, 1963 at Oakland, MD she was married to James Henry Lambert, who survives.
They had celebrated fifty-two years of marriage.
Also surviving are one son, Shane Huffman Lambert and wife Laura of Clermont, FL; one daughter Donnell Renee Lambert Bowers and husband Brad of Rockledge, FL; three brothers, Wayne Grey Huffman and wife Patricia of Dry Fork, Lake Huffman and Cindy of Harman, Arden G. Huffman and wife Linda of Harman; three grandchildren, Benjamin James Bowers, Courtney Nicole Lambert, and Cooper Henry Lambert; and two step granddaughters, Emily and Molly Walker.
She will be missed by her large extended family whom she loved and reached out to as often as she could.
She was a graduate of Harman High School with the Class of 1961, had worked as a claim agent for Fletcher Insurance Agency and Dean Insurance Agency, both of Elkins and later worked as the Business Office Manager for Westminster Care of Clermont, FL from which she retired.
After retirement, James and Shannon split their residence between Elkins and Clermont, FL so they could enjoy both family and good weather.
She referred to she and husband as Snow Birds.
She was a member of the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Elkins Purple Majesties – Red Hat Society and was a volunteer for the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center.
The family will receive friends at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church of Elkins from 5 to 8 PM, Thursday.
Final Rites will be conducted at the church, Friday, October 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
The Rev. Kevin Starcher will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center, 1175 Beverly Pike, Elkins, WV 26241, the Randolph County Cancer Support Group, P. O. Box 2361, Elkins, WV 26241 or to Harman School Alumni, in care of Linda Teter, Harman, WV 26270.
