ELECTRA — Donald K. "Sonny" Bryant, 83, of Electra, died Friday, July 2, 2010, in Electra.

Memorial services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with Carl Wright of Electra officiating. Services under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

Mr. Bryant was employed with Texaco and also was self-employed.

Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Honsberger of Missouri City, Texas; one sister, Jimmie Wright of Electra.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: Memorial & Honor Program, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.

Donald K. "Sonny" Bryant, age 83 of Electra, Texas passed away Friday, July 2, 2010 in the Electra Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Aulds Funeral Home with Carl Wright of Electra, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral home of Electra.

Sonny was born May 30, 1927 in Wichita County to Jim Bob Bryant and Cad Leona McKown Bryant.

On May 30, 1946 he was drafted into the United State Army where he proudly served his country until November 2, 1947.

He attended Midwestern University. He was employed for Texaco and also was self employed in the oil field for fifty years and retired in 1995.

Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Honsberger and husband Von of Missouri City, Texas; one sister, Jimmie Wright of Electra and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Gilbert and Dorothy Gilbert and one brother, Clyde Bryant.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Latitia Raines for all her care and concern for Sonny.

The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: Memorial and Honor Program, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
