Austintown- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Cathy Powell who died Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Cathy was born October 14, 1949 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Vernon S. and Betty Jean (Stouder) Carroll. Cathy was employed as a bookkeeper for the Blue Beacon Truck Wash in Austintown for 10 years. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church and a graduated of Newton Falls High School in 1967. Cathy enjoyed EBay, going to garage sales and reading. The joy of her life was being with her grandchildren. She is survived by her mother Betty Jean of Newton Falls, children; Joseph of Pittsburgh, Tracy Hall of Austintown, sister; Cynthia Hartman of Stockton, CA. and her grandchildren; Nicholas Joseph Hall and Taylor Jordyn Powell, several cousins and her dog Frankie. Cathy was preceded in death by her father. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
