A Tribute to Mrs. Triplett
An amazing, beautiful angel.
Maddi Burns in 500 Words On on Oct 21, 2015

At times like these, its hard to know exactly the right thing to say. Its hard to grieve, to comfort, to accept what has happened. Its hard to believe, to talk about it, to be okay.

Mrs. Triplett was an amazing, kind, and selfless teacher, friend, and person. To her students she was someone to go to for help, to talk through the problems of the day, and to have as a cheerleader for whatever struggle was being faced. She taught lessons about life, about strength, and about perspective. She connected with her students and truly valued each and every one. Her class was about life skills and she brought us those every single day. It was about so much more than getting the grade, passing a test, or finishing a worksheet. She taught about making the best of the life we are given, through good and bad times, and coming out better than you were before.

She was one of those people who always had a smile on her face. She saw the glass as half-full. She was the ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. You didn't have to know her long to know this. Her happiness radiated from her, no matter what kind of day she was having. She put everyone else before herself, always, and that's not something that you can find everyday. She was the type of person you will only meet once in your life. There was only one Mrs. Trip, and she can't ever be replaced.

Mrs. Triplett was dealt a bad hand. She faced things that no one should ever have to. She took all of the horrible experiences she had and learned from it. And then she shared her past with her students, to help us learn, to teach us about the bigger picture in life, and to never give up. She moved us. She was there for us. She changed us.

For a teacher to be so loved by her students, like Mrs. Triplett, is not an easy feat. She had such a positive impact on all the lives she touched. Its still shocking that such a powerful woman can be taken from us. The obstacles she overcame, the hardships she powered through, and the times in life when she turned it all around for the better, are what she should be remembered by.

There are not enough words to realize the effect she on the community. To explain what she did for her students. To understand the meaning she put into life. It's not enough to put into a few paragraphs. It's not enough to put into a novel.

It's a time like this when Trip is needed, to be consoled by her, to be listened to by her, to be comforted by her. Even though she is not here anymore, she wouldn't want us to mourn. Mrs. Triplett would want us to live our lives like she did, with a positive outlook and strength beyond compare. She would want us to find ourselves and find each other in a situation like this.

She continues to teach us lessons, even after she's gone. About how short life is. About making it count. About getting through the hard times. About supporting each other. About creating a legacy. About making a difference. About being yourself.

Prayers and condolences to anyone and everyone Mrs. Triplett knew. Students. Teachers. Family. Friends. Her legacy will live on forever in our hearts.

Love always Mrs. Trip.
