Reno resident, Lisa Ann (Kuhn) Ruggiero, 52, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Renown Hospital, Reno, Nevada. She was born on October 26, 1962 in Norfolk, Virginia to Richard and Teresa (Dorman) Kuhn. Lisa was a 1980 Awalt High School graduate in Los Altos, CA, and has worked as an administrative assistant for Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, SDV Telecommunications Company, and Colin Construction Company in Grass Valley, California. Locally, Lisa worked for the Nevada System of Higher Education as a Human Resources Personnel Technician. Lisa has also been active in RISE, Reno Initiative for Shelter and Equality, (renoinitiative.org) that serves meals to our homeless population in Reno. Lisa also supports the Food Bank of Northern Nevada (fbnn.org) and as a Cancer Survivor, the Moms on the Run Event.On March 25, 1989, she married Michael Ruggiero at Bally's in Reno, Nevada. In their 26+ years together they had two children Domenic (Cori) Ruggiero and Anthony Ruggiero. Lisa also has a son John (Emma) Alexander from a previous marriage, and gave Lisa and Michael their first granddaughter, Allison Grace Alexander.Also surviving is Lisa's parents Richard and Teresa Kuhn, her brother Ronald (Linda) Kuhn and their lovely daughters Krystal and Victoria.Everyone that knew Lisa considered her to be a wonderful person and the best of friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her well…Celebration of Life Services will be conducted at Mountain View Mortuary , 425 Stoker this Saturday, 10/17/15 with a follow-up gathering of relatives and friends at the California Building, Idlewild Park, Reno, NV.In lieu of flowers, donations on behalf of Lisa can be made to RISE at "renoinitiative.org" and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada at "fbnn.org".Arrangements under the direction of Walton Funeral Home, Reno.
