Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at her home church, CrystalRock Cathedral with Dr. Walt Spradling and the Rev. Gary Gunsolus officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Carol was born on Aug. 16, 1936, to R.R. Park and Hazel Margaret (Price) Park in Wichita Falls, Texas. She married Charles Eugene Edmonds on July 20, 1957, in Burkburnett, Texas. After they were married, they lived in Grandfield, Okla., until the couple moved to Ardmore in 1961. Her entire life and faith was dedicated to the Lord and she raised her children to have that same faith and dedication. Most who knew her considered her a “strong woman of faith.” She loved spending time with her family and always made sure no one left her home hungry. She also enjoyed sewing and creating masterpiece quilts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Edmonds; sister, Helen Schanlaub; and a great-grandson, Kennan Mashore.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Lisa Armstrong and husband, James of Lone Grove and Caryn Harper and husband, Johnny of Kingston; one son, Larry Edmonds and wife, Andrea of Lone Grove; seven grandchildren, Matt Edmonds and wife, Keri, Alycia Taylor and husband, Chris, Parker Armstrong, Lyndsay Riggs, Hannah Harper, Heidi Harper and Kenny Mashore and wife, Corissa; six great-grandchildren; and a special sister, Juanita Daily and husband, Bob of Oklahoma City.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Matt Edmonds, Parker Armstrong, Chris Taylor, Allen Daily, Phillip Black and Randy Woodley; and honorary pallbearer is Wayman Woodley.
