Mrs. Carter was born to Rex Adolphina Marrs and William Joseph Joyce.
Madeline was the owner and operator of Beryl's Gift Shop in Sanger for nine years until its closure in 1977.
She was a member of The Sanger Women's Clubhouse, a member of The Sanger Historical Society and docent for the Sanger Depot Museum.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Thomas Carter; and sister, Lucille Montgomery. Madeline is survived by three sons, Kevin and wife Sharri, Chris and wife Anna, and Brian and wife Joy; five grandchildren, Erin Probasco and husband Scott, Jason Carter and wife Holli, Matthew Carter and wife Wendy, Lloyd Marcus Carter and wife Sara, and Erin Ling Wei Carter; and four great-grandchildren, Olivia Probasco, Justin Carter, Lexi Carter and soon to be born, Matthew William Carter.
A Graveside Service will be held at Sanger Cemetery on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at 3:00 p.m.
