Hazleton Plain Speaker; Wednesday, July 27, 1955:
Dr. Christopher F. Barager, 70, of 51 North Vine street, retired dentist, died at 4 p.m. yesterday at his home following a lengthy illness. Born in Hazleton, a son of the late John and Anna Maria (Gicking) Barager, he was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with the class of 1911 and that university's School of Dentistry. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

In addition to his wife, Isabella, he is survived by three sons: Richard B., of New York City; Robert Jack, of Haddon Heights, N.J.; and Franklin E., of this city. A brother, William E., of Hazleton; three sisters: Catherine, of Allentown; Mrs. Frank Conahan, of Bethlehem; Mrs. Edward Somers, of this city; and three grandchildren also survive.

The funeral will be held from the Bachman Brothers Funeral Home Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock with services conducted by Rev. H. Clay Bergstresser, D.D., pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Sky View Cemetery, Hometown. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and evening.
