David Ash was born to Elbert J. and Agnes M. Ash at the old St. Agnes Hospital in Fresno, CA.

He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1963, and from there went straight to Fresno State College, completing his major in Math and his minor in Chemistry. He stayed at Fresno State for two additional years and obtained his Certified Public Accounting license.

He loved accounting and interacting with people, and created a cliental of over one thousand. During tax season he would work 100 plus hours a week. He was always the go to guy for most everything. He reluctantly retired from his practice in 2013. H

e had many achievements. In his younger days, he bowled and continually averaged over 200. He got a hole-in-one on number four at San Joaquin Country Club, and attained the rank of Silver Life Master from American Contract Bridge League. He was very active in the Clovis Junior Soccer League, coaching two teams at the same time. After retiring, his passion was Duplicate Bridge, playing four to five times a week. He loved watching all sports on TV, especially all of the games of Fresno State, the San Francisco 49ers and the Giants.

He was preceded in death by his father Elbert; his mother Agnes; his brother Paul; and his nephew Roger.

Dave is survived by his soul mate Linda; two sons, Stephen and Ryan; a total of eight grandchildren; and a niece, Laura Dobbs, and her family.

A Funeral Service will be held at Farewell Funeral Service located at 660 W. Locust, Fresno, CA, on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made the American Cancer Society ; the Wounded Warriors Project; or to the donor's favorite charity.
