Dorothy “Dottie” Huie Wooten age 89 of Stone Mountain, GA passed away Monday, October 19, 2015.
Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by her parents, Wade Huie, Sr and Nora Oakley Huie; son, Tom Wooten; and brother, Wade Huie, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Kay and Phil Muller of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Brian Muller (Jennifer) of Roswell, GA, Shannon Knight (Eric) of Guyton, GA and Tracy Roland (Eric) of Suwanee, GA; 7 great grandchildren.
Dottie was a long time Stone Mountain, GA resident. She attended Ingleside Presbyterian Church in Snellville, GA. She worked as a First and a Third grade teacher for Dekalb County Board of Education for 25 years.
The Funeral Service to Celebrate and Honor the Life of Dorothy “Dottie” Huie Wooten will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Tom M. Wages, Snellville Chapel. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Elmhurst Cemetery in Elberton, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 am until the start of service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Those who so desire may make a donation to the Donor’s Favorite Charity in lieu of flowers.
