Faye was born in Milledgeville, Tennessee, to the late Marion Thompson and Velma Jones Thompson. She owned small retail businesses, loved to travel, play rummy and deer hunt. She was a very active member of Union Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, George Wilson, daughters, Linda Winkle and husband Paul of Wynne, Barbara Eaglin and husband Joe of Wynne, stepsons, Marc Wilson and wife Cari of Jonesboro, Greg Wilson of Forrest City, Bert Wilson of Jonesboro and Darren Wilson of Cherry Valley. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brandi, Candi, Sean, Landon, Jacob, Rachel, Rebecca, Rhett, Jadyn, Nataly, Madisyn, Whitley, Joseph, Lillie Jo and Daisey, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill and Fred Thompson, sister, Elaine Bishop, parents, Marion and Velma Thompson, and first husband, David Woodson in 1992.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021, from 5 until 7 PM at Kernodle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at Kernodle Funeral Home with burial in Crosslawn Cemetery.
