VETERAN S. L. PRINTER DIES
Theodore Lovendale, 75, Succumbs

Theodore Lovendale, 75, veteran Salt Lake City printer, died Wednesday morning at his home, 421 Blair street, following a long illness.
Mr. Lovendale began his career with The Salt Lake Tribune as a printer's apprentice in 1873. At the time of his illness he was vice president and superintendent of the Arrow Press. He retired five years ago.

Associated with Mr. Lovendale in the printing business were his brother, J. H. Lovendale; Jay T. Harris, Lee C. Snedaker and Arthur E. Graham.
Mr. Lovendale was born in Nebraska, November 3, 1860, a son of John and Olina Lovendale who came to Utah in 1864. He married Sarah Pickering in 1882.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, Arthur R. Lovendale, Salt Lake City, and Ralph D. Lovendale, Los Angeles; two brothers, Julius H. Lovendale and Edward M. Lovendale, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Deseret mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary until time of services and burial will be in the Mt. Olivet cemetery.
