NEW ULM REVIEW
January 5, 1910 Page 5
Last Wednesday evening, Chas. Anderson Sr., a well-known resident of the city died at his home in the south end of town after a long, lingering sieze of rheumatism which eventually developed into dropsy.
Deceased was born in Denmark where he was married 34 years ago to Miss Mary Jenson. In 1878 the family immigrated to America making New Ulm their permanent home. Mr. Anderson served in the Danish Army.
For many years he held the position of engineer in the Empire Mill & later a similar position in Aug. Schell Brewery. About four years ago his physical condition and failing health forced him to retire from active life. A widow and four sons and six daughters survive him.
Burial took place Friday afternoon, Capt. Albert Steinhauser officiating.
