ENFIELD – Maxine A. McCausland, 69, wife of the late William McCausland, died Dec. 8, 2006, at her home. She was born May 25, 1937, in Howland, the daughter of William and Elsie (Hatch) Briggs. Maxine was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was also a devoted Christian, who attended the Masardis Pentecostal Church. She was a member of Community Evangel Temple, Lincoln, where she baked for the cookie ministry of the church. She did a lot of babysitting and loved to pick strawberries. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Bowring and her husband, Robert, of Ashland and Elsie Lint and her husband, William, of Howland; three sons, William Jr. and his wife, Linda, of West Enfield, Roger and his wife, Lori, of Ashland and Joseph and his wife, Young, of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters, Ethel Hamilton of Limestone and Florence Audibert of Enfield; 15 grandchildren, five great-grand-children, several nieces and nephews. She also leaves two special sisters-in-law, Gloria Howe of Presque Isle and Betty Tracy of Howland; as well as three special friends, Janie Graham of Bristol, Conn., Wendy Robinson of Masardis and Faye Ireland of Enfield. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held noon Monday at Community Evangel Temple, Lincoln, with the Rev. Tim Shaw, the Rev. Donald Morton Sr. and the Rev. David Ireland officiating.
