Graveside services for Joy Matthews, 88, of Tyler, will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Tyler Memorial Park with Bro. Steve Layton officiating, with Tyler Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park.
Mrs. Matthews was born on April 20, 1924, in Jacksonville, to Sam and Kate Sims Fulton, and passed away on May 5, 2012, in Tyler. Mrs. Matthews lived in Tyler and was a member of Friendly Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mitzi Migura and husband Mark, of Tyler; grandchildren, Shawn Breaux, Alicia Migura Swinney and Michael Migura; great-grandchildren, Ryan Swinney, Reagan Swinney, Riley Swinney, Bailee Breaux and Samantha Breaux. Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Douglas L. Matthews; her parents and two brothers, Jack Fulton and G.R. Fulton.
