She was born on May 12, 1982 in Peoria the daughter of James and Mary J. (Pyle) Fisher.
Surviving are her parents of Washington, twin sister Lindsey (Andrew) Hanes of Maroa, IL and sister Jamie (Mark) Thurman of Washington. Laura is also survived by her paternal grandparents Jack and Anne Fisher of Toulon, IL; nieces Katelyn and Grace Thurman and Abigail Hanes; and three nephews Isaac, Zachary and Micah Hanes. Also surviving is her boyfriend Chad Warren of Fulton, IL. Her maternal grandparents preceded her in death.
Laura's interests included spending time with her nieces and nephews, Bible studies and mission work, any outdoor activity, and hanging out with family and friends. In the last few months, she found Chad to share her life with and was the happiest she has ever been.
A Funeral Service for Laura is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Washington Christian Church, 1012 North Main Street in Washington with Reverend Jeff Browning officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Washington Christian Church from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington following her service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to the “Dominican Republic Mission” or the “Hounsell Kids Fund” payable to Washington Christian Church.
