Everett "Ebb" Garner
October 19, 2015

Everett "Ebb" Garner, 85, of Ashburn, passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon following a short illness.

Born in Turner County, Georgia to the late Ernest Walter, Sr. and Lela Elizabeth Saffold Garner he was a Businessman, Farmer and Cattleman. He was a former Councilman for the City of Ashburn and was also an active member of the Young Farmer's Association. He was also an active member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church where he was an original and current Trustee.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Etta Hiley Garner of Ashburn; sons, Everett Allen (Nancy) Garner, Jr. of Tifton, Michael Dodd (Laura) Garner of Savannah, and Gary Steven (Rachel) Garner of Villa Rica; grandchildren: Kayla Garner, Kara Garner, Joshua Garner, Madison Garner, Joseph Garner, Austin Garner and Megan Garner; Great-Grandchild, Nathan Garner.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his siblings, Lt. Ernest W. Garner, Jr., Dr. James W. Garner, Emily G. Rhodes and Margaret G. Pate.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Ashburn with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
