Ricky L. Book, 59, of Jonesville, passed from this life on Thursday, September 24, 2015, in Jonesville.

He was born Monday, June 18, 1956 in Ferriday to the union of his parents, Houston and Aquilla Parker Book.

Ricky was a resident of Jonesville and member of Jonesville First Pentecostal Church.

He was an avid deer hunter, loved Larto Lake and served and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. Ricky was always happy and outgoing and never met a stranger. He will missed by all.

Services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at Jonesville First Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Jack Knapp, Bruce Lofton and Daniel Jordan officiating.

Interment followed in Nichol's Cemetery of Larto under direction of Young's Funeral Home of Jonesville.

He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Clay and Vinnie Book; maternal grandparents Jim and Cecelia Parker; and brother-in-law, Lyell Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Dixie Book; mother, Aquilla Parker Book; brother, Freddie (Maple) Book; nephew, Ty Book; niece, Stephanie Clark; two great nephews and a great niece.
