Brandon S. Taylor, 32, of Grand Lake, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 in Pecan Island, LA.

Brandon was a lifelong resident of Grand Lake. He began his career in the Oil Field at the age of eighteen as a Roustabout and within a year worked his way up to an operator. He was currently employed with Texas Petroleum Investments. Brandon's work ethics exceeded most: he welcomed a challenge, worked hard to exceed his own expectations and gave those around him the motivation to the same. He was everyone's go-to guy and could fix anything. Whether it be at work, around the house or with others it was always his best. The things that brought him joy were hunting, cooking and spending time at the camp. He loved cooking for gatherings of family and friends and looked forward to Sundays at MawMaw Benoit's. He was an admirable, yet humble, man: the go-to guy for many, a mentor for others, always willing to lend a listening ear, a helping hand or a few words of wisdom. Brandon's heart will always belong to his loving wife, as she had been his best friend, high school sweetheart and soul mate. His greatest pride was their precious boys and the time they shared. Brandon will be most remembered for his overwhelming love and devotion to his entire family.

He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of ten years, Amanda "Mandy" McFarland Taylor; two sons, Zach and Clint Taylor; parents, Perry Taylor and wife Debbie and Dianna "DeeDee' Aguillard and husband Ray; maternal grandmother, Toney O'Blance; two brothers, Billy Taylor and wife Laura and Garrett Taylor; one sister, Kourtney Hooper all of Grand Lake; father and mother-in-law, Buddy and Cathy McFarland; grandmother-in-law, Vernia Benoit, all of Lake Charles and brother-in-law, SSG. Charles McFarland and wife Stephanie of Killeen, TX. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Kobe, Brailee, Kaden and Kinley Taylor, Charles McFarland IV, Alexis LeMaire, Austyn and Grayson McFarland and Jordan Andrews and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Zachary James Taylor; paternal grandparents, Willis and Juanita LeGros Taylor; maternal grandfather, J.B. O'Blance and uncle, Holland O'Blance.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Andrew Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in Grand Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.

Pallbearers for the services will be Nick Crador, David Daigle, Matthew "Fatboy" Demarets, Jake Nunez, Jordan Thompson and Jeremy "Cuz" Young.
