William M. Jones, Jr.
William Moses Jones, Jr., 95, longtime resident of Baytown, died Sunday, June 26, 2005. He was born in Dallas on May 2, 1910, the third of six children born to W.M. Jones, Sr. and Osee Tom (Cook) Jones, and grew up in Farmersville, Texas. In July of 1946, he married Mary Margaret Joslin. A graduate of Baylor University, Bill was chief chemist and later plant manager for Stauffer Chemical Co. until his retirement in 1975. He and Mary Margaret were active members of Trinity Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Margaret L. Jones of Baytown and four children, Michael Jones and wife Lynne of Houston, Blackburn Jones of Baytown, Frederick Jones and wife Cyral Miller of Austin, and daughter Mary Margaret J. Jones and husband Douglas Argue of San Francisco, CA; sister Mary Ann Bradford of Houston; brother, John K. Jones of Dallas; sister-in-law Light Henderson of Ocean City, MD; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.., Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 2701 W. Main Street, with Rev. Joseph Spitler, officiating. For those desiring, remembrances can be made in William's memory to Trinity Episcopal Church.
