E. JANE McLEAN
E. Jane McLean, 91, of Lock Haven, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Born February 25, 1910, in Ligonier, she was a daughter of the late J. Harvey and Kate Snyder Lohr. On June 3, 1933, she married T. Scott McLean, who died January 19, 1991. She was a graduate of the Westmont-Upper Yoder High School in Johnstown, a 1930 graduate of the former Lock Haven Normal School and received a master's degree in education from Penn State in 1965.
During the summers she worked at General Motors in Michigan while attending college. She taught in Johnstown, Waukegan, Illinois, and for 16 years the sixth grade at the Mill Hall Elementary School, retiring in 1972.
She had also worked for the Department of Welfare in Cambria and Clinton counties. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society for Educators, the Lock Haven Business and Professional Women and the Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall, where she was a longtime Sunday school teacher.
She was survived by two sons ,Thomas L. of Mill Hall and Scott R. of Muncy, a foster son James Kissell of Watkins Glen New York; seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Her funeral services were held at the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral, Mill Hall.
Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.

McLean of Mill Hall following their marriage on Monday evening at the Methodist parsonage at Romney, West Virginia. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend John Owens and the couple was unattended.
Mrs. McLean was the former Miss E. Jane Lohr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Harvey Lohr of Johnstown. A graduate of the local Teachers College, she has been for the past several years a teacher in the Johnstown public schools. Mr. McLean is also a graduate of the local Teachers College where he was active in athletics and was a member of the Delta Rho Beta fraternity. He has been teaching.in the Eighth Grade of the Blanchard School.
