Kathryn Rose Buchanan, 73, of Georgetown, died October 17, 2015. Born January 3, 1942 in Pomeroy, Ohio to the late William and Hazel Woods. She was an L.P.N. at Central Kentucky Blood Center and in retirement provided volunteer services for Community Medical Clinic of Scott County. She is survived by her daughter and daughter in law, Lezah Preston and Gloria Welch of St. Petersburg, Florida; her sisters Susie Phalin, Patty Sessor and brother in law, Jim Betz of Gallipolis, OH; preceded in death by Barbara Betz and Bill Woods, sister and brother; her longtime partner Rick Buchanan of Georgetown; Nieces Sally Betz, Angie Allion, Jan Betz, Sonja Phalin, Kayla Thomas, Tina Shoenamann, and Heather Woods; Nephews Tim Betz, Chris Woods, and Kyle Woods (deceased) as well as special friends, Bonnie Prather, Gena Cornett, and those from Newtown Christian Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington, Kentucky.
