There are some very interesting articles in the Oregonian newspaper in September and October of 1911 indicating that Nina and Henry agreed to be married in a Hot Air Balloon at the "Second Annual Clark County Harvest Show" on October 7, 1911. There was a problem with the hot air balloon company going broke and it was changed to "America's first modern twin screw propeller monoplane, Model III. The bridal party, Henry Claassen, and his bride-to-be, Miss Nina Stanley, and the minister, Rev. H.S. Templeton, of the First Presbyterian Church, and Clement Scott as witnesses, will stand in the monoplane, far above the crowd, where the ceremony will be performed at 4 o'clock." (The Oregonian, Portland, Oregon, Saturday, October 7, 1911, page 4 - reporting on Vancouver, Washington events)
