Daniel M. Schultz, 77, of Charleston, passed away on Wed. Oct. 14, 2015, at Marmet Center.

Mr. Schultz retired from the Sanitation Department of the City of Charleston. He was also a butcher at Gunnoe Sausage over 30 years.

Daniel also attended Riverview Gospel Tabernacle and loved doing work for the church. He was also Santa Clause at the church for 25 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles E. and Dollie G. (Snodgrass) Schultz; and sisters, Sudie Justice, Vonda Price, Betty Walker, Reba Renaud and Mary Jenkins.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years; a daughter and her husband, of Charleston, and his son, also of Charleston; a sister,of Dallesport, Wash.; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Mon. Oct. 19, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with Pastor Leo Howerton officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time also at the funeral home.
