CONNIE JEAN HOUSE, 71, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village, Boonsboro.

The service will held at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

CONNIE JEAN HOUSE, 71, of Hagerstown, a servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was called home on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village, Boonsboro. Born August 6, 1944 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Norwood H. and Grace I. (Reeder) House.

Ms. House was a 1962 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, a 1965 graduate of the Washington County School of Nursing and in 1972 received a BS degree from the Grace Theological Seminary and College, Winona Lake, Indiana, she later attended Sheppard and Enoch Pratt, Baltimore. She retired as a registered nurse with the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

Ms. House was a lifelong member of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. She attended the former Hagerstown Grace Brethren Church and later Calvary Grace Brethren Church. At various times she served as a pianist, an organist, as nursery staff, a Parish Nurse, and as a teacher through Sunday school, vacation bible school, SMM and Awana. She participated or held positions in many groups such as the Women's Missionary Council, the Friendly Bible School Class, the Adult Bible Fellowship, Women of Grace and the Grace Brethren Home Missions Council. She regularly attended the Grace Brethren Church District Meetings and repeatedly served as a delegate to the Grace Brethren Annual Conferences. Early in her career, Ms. House put her nursing abilities to use overseas at a medical clinic in Haiti. She enjoyed gardening; bowling; collecting new recipes and traveling, especially cruising. She was a member of the Frederick Travel Club and the Hagerstown Christian Women's Club.

She is survived by an uncle, Kenneth Reeder and wife Jane of Edgewater, Fla,; an aunt Frances Reeder of Gaithersburg, Md.; two cousins, Delbert House of Boonsboro and Jeffrey Reeder of Rockville, Md.
