Aaron Michael Garrett, 23, of Boonville, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday Aug. 12, 2006.
Aaron was born to Rick and Dawn Garrett on November 15, 1982, in Belleville, Illinois, and moved to Boonville in 1989.

Aaron was a very loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle and cousin. Aaron had many good friends and never met a stranger.

He was an excellent student all through school, maintaining a 4.0 through high school and was in Who's Who of America's High School Students, National Honor Society and received a National Science Merit Award. He was continuing his education at VUJC and USI pursuing a career in Law Enforcement. Aaron's biggest love, besides his family, was his love of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and he loved fishing, 4-wheeling and mudding. Aaron also had a love for Jeeps and had owned several. Aaron was currently employed at Hamlin Equipment in Evansville.

Aaron was a member of Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church and had recently attended Mt. Pisgah, at Augusta, Ind.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Dawn Garrett of Boonville; sisters, Angela (Jeff) Woolsey and Lindsay Garrett of Boonville; half sisters, Stephanie Thomas and Amber Stanton of Illinois; and grandparents, Bill and Betty Garrett of Boonville.

Preceding Aaron in death was his father, Rick Garrett, in 1999, Aaron had deeply loved and missed him, and his grandparents, Alva Richard and Winifred Thomas of Stonington, Ill.

Aaron will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2006, at Koehler Funeral Home, Boonville Chapel, with Rev. John Swain officiating. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Ind.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel. Donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
