He moved eventually to Pecos, Texas to be the manager of a Cotton Farm. They moved later in life to Lytle, Texas to be close to Maud Elizabeth's younger sister Myrtle Ing Mathews.
Harvey Alexander and his wife Maude Eliza Ing of 63 years lived in the some of the worst and best times: two World Wars, Korea War, Vietnam Was and the Great Depression. Harvey did not serve in the Armed Forces because he was a Cotton farmer.
