MONTGOMERY, Russell Eugene Age 95, of Brookville, passed away October 16, 2015 with his loving family around him. Preceded in death by his parents Albert & Leona (Ullery) Montgomery; brothers, Robert & David; sisters, Grace Dowler & Beula; grandchildren, Deborah Edwards & James Kendal Jr. He graduated from Trotwood High School, worked as a farmer and carried mail for the Brookville Post Office for 25 years. He was a 65 year member of Brookville Church of the Brethren, where he served as Elder. A 45 year member of Kiwanis where he served in all offices. He volunteered with Handivan, A.M.I. and the food bank in Brookville. He was an avid reader & loved history, politics & music. He never knew a stranger. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anna Mae; daughters, Rebecca (Steve) Pugh, Maribeth (Don) Crowe & Susan (Mike) Greely; grandchildren, Rani, Zach Crowe; step-grandson, Steven Pugh; great-granddaughters, Jamie (Justin) Izor & Jaycee Crowe; great-great-granddaughter, Peyton Izor; step-great-great- grandson, Dylan Izor; special brother, Albert (Marilyn) Montgomery; nieces & nephews. Visitation 10 am - 12 pm Wed., October 21, at Brookville Church of the Brethren. Funeral service 12 pm Wed. at the church. Interment at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens to follow the service.
