ANTHONY P. GENOVESE

A Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony P. Genovese, a musician and longtime Union Carbide Corp. employee, will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. John de LaSalle Catholic Church, 8469 Buffalo Ave.

Prayers will be said at 10 in the Spallino-Amigone Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Genovese, 87, of Elderberry Place, died Wednesday (July 10, 1991) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.

Born in Niagara Falls, he worked for Union Carbide for 28 years, primarily as a foreman.

Genovese, who played the french horn, was a member of Musicians Local 106 and held a Gold Card signifying more than 50 years of membership; the Niagara Falls Philharmonic Orchestra, the Shredded Wheat Band, the Niagara Falls Concert Band, the Carborundum Band and the Canada-based Fred Willet Band.

He was a member of St. John de LaSalle Catholic Church, its Senior Citizens group and its Holy Name Society.

Genovese is survived by his wife, Frances (DeBiase) Genovese; three daughters, Joan Paterson, Antoinette Scalzo and Marie Chiarenza; two sisters, Margaret "Dolly" Ciambrone of Charlotte, N.C., and Stella Mallo; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
