Bluefield, Va- Kattie Mae Brady, 90, of Route 1 Box 218 (Abbs Valley), Bluefield, Va., went to be with Jesus on Friday, November 29, 2002, at Bluefield Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

Born on October 29, 1912 in Morristown, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late George and Josie Dotson Matthews.

She had been a resident of Abbs Valley for 40 years and was of the Holiness faith. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Davis Brady; a daughter, Patricia Ann Blevins; a son, Curtis Hugh Brady; and his son, Jeremy Brady; and nine other children.

Survivors include children, Earl Daniel Brady of Michigan, Frances Louise Blevins of the homes, Brenda Sue Wilson of Manassas, Va., Samuel Davis Brady, Jr. of Augusta, Elizabeth Bernice Yates, of Union, Rebecca Love Shrader of Abbs Valley,; 33 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Cravens-Shires Funeral Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. David Coop officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, where grandsons, Eddie Dean Blevins, Freddie Eugene Blevins, Estle Ray Blevins, Jeffrey Carl Blevins, Michael Eugene Blevins, and Roger Lee Blevins will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
