Funeral services for Mrs. Martha White McIntyre, 89, of Bastrop were held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2006 at the First Assembly of God Church in Bastrop with the Revs. James E. Allen, Lloyd Trisler and Dr. Ron Smith officiating. Interment followed in Carter Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Golden Funeral Home.

Mrs. McIntyre, a retired daycare worker, homemaker and member of First Assembly of God, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ray McIntyre; four daughters -- Rosalee Lowery and husband Charles of Bastrop, Clara Patrick and husband R.W. of Bastrop, Elaine Knight and husband Glen of Crossett, Ark. and Pauline Kinnaird and husband Venoy of Bastrop; two sisters -- Dorothy Coley of Jonesville and Mable White of Tyler, Texas; brother, Clay White and wife Jo of Jena; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.


Mrs. McIntyre was preceded in death by a son, Donald McIntyre; great granddaughter, Faith Wood; parents, Albert and Mary Jane White; three brothers and four sisters.

Serving as pallbearers were: Keith Lowery, Carl Patrick, Barry Patrick, Dale Knight, Chris McCall and Kenneth Stephenson.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
