She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker and a member of Poplar Level Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James G. “Shorty” Murphy.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Carolyn Murphy, sons: Jerry Quinlan (Susan) and Tony Murphy (Nancy), three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive) on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 9:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow at Jeffersontown Cemetery.
