Stephen Kibsgaard Died Last Tuesday At Coulter
Funeral services for Stephen Kibsgaard, age seventy-five, of Coulter, will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the home and at 2:00 o'clock at the St. John's Lutheran Church, at Coulter. Rev. Hans Juhl, Pastor, will be in charge of the final rites, and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Mr. Kibsgaard died Tuesday from a lengthy illness followed by stroke.
Stephen Kibsgaard was born in October, 1872, in Denmark. In 1895 he was married to Miss Sophie Hansen.
They came to America in 1906 and settled in Nebraska. In 1913 they came to Iowa and settled on a farm, from which they retired several years ago.
Mr. Kibsgaard is survived by his wife and nine children. They are Alfred Kibsgaard, of Dows; Mrs. Nels Hansen, of Hampton; John Kibsgaard, of Coulter; Oscar Kibsgaard, of Hampton; Karl Kibsgaard, of Minneapolis; Viggo Kibsgaard, of Ottawa, Ohio; Mrs. Harold Bensen, of Dumont; Mrs. Ike Olk, of Sheffield; and Harold Kibsgaard, of Hampton.
He was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter. He is also survived by twenty five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
