Norman Mozingo Obituary

Norman E. Mozingo Mr. Norman Edward "Dick" Mozingo, 68, died Sunday, April 6, 2008. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park. Mr. Mozingo, a native of Pitt County, lived his early life in the Farmville community and made his home in Greenville in the 1960's. He worked for the City of Greenville, Public Works Dept. for many years, then worked in MacKenzie Security until his retirement in 1989. Mr. Mozingo was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Edward Mozingo; and a daughter, Teresa Mozingo. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, O'Hara Mills Mozingo; mother, Snodie Lloyd Mozingo; brother, Steve Mozingo and wife, Terry; daughters, Lisa Mozingo Colville and husband, Donnie, Terri Mozingo Haddock and husband, Kenneth, and Cynthia Mozingo Goltermann and husband, Ronald, all of Greenville; 12 Grandchildren, DJ Baker, Priscilla C. Spivey, Melody H. Pavey, Ashley Dawn Moore, Dalton Ray Harris Jr., Ashley N. Haddock, Josh Haddock, Jamie Haddock, Kristen N. Haddock, Robbie Butler II, Haley J. Goltermann, and David M. Goltermann; and five great-grandchildren, Brian, Nikki, and Gracie Baker, Abigail Moore, and Lacey Spivey. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9 and at other times at the home of Steve and Terry Mozingo. The family would like to express special thanks to University Health Systems Hospice and a very special thanks to his nurse Bob Shilling.
