Lloyd was the 13th and youngest child of Civil War veteran Joseph Seiders (1841-1918) and Sarah Enders Seiders (1847-1914). It's hard to be certain of his exact date of birth. His WW I draft registration has it as May 2, 1891, his WWII draft registration has it as May 2, 1893, and the 1900 Census has it as May 1890. A Social Security life claim has it as May 2, 1890.
