Born in Bareville, Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Weaver) Oberholtzer. Her husband, Amos K. Ringler, died Dec. 12, 2001.
Esther was a homemaker and a member of the Bowmansville Old Order Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving are seven sons, Edwin, married to Darlene of East Earl, James, married to Anna of Neilsville, WI, Elmer, married to Susanna of Blandon, Joseph, married to Carolyn of Mohn-
ton, Luke, married to Sandy of Mohnton, Glen married to Alice of East Earl, and Curvin, married to Mary of Mohnton; five daughters, Harriet, married to Aaron Weaver of Granton, WI, Emma, married to Melvin Roy Hurst of Denver, Elva, widow of the late Melvin Burkholder of Akron, Nancy, married to Lowell Martin of Newville, and Rebecca, married to Russell Martin of Geneva, NY; 52 grandchildren; 109 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a son-in-law, Jonas Newswanger of Narvon; five brothers, Ivan, John, Joseph, Harry, and David Oberholtzer; and two sisters, Anna Zimmerman and Lena Oberholtzer.
Preceding her in death is a daughter, Roseanna Newswanger; a brother, Jacob Oberholtzer; two sisters, Elizabeth Shirk and Martha Newswanger; three grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 21 at 9 am at the home of her son, Glen Ringler, 279 E. Black Creek Road, East Earl, with further services at 9:30 am at the Bowmansville Old Order Mennonite Church with the Bishop Elam Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the home of Glen Ringler. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill.
