Clayton "Hoyt" Long age 80 of Alcoa, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at the family home.


He was a Navy Korean War Veteran and retired from Knoxville Utility Board where he worked for 40 years. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. He was also a long time member of Broadway Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and a Trustee.



He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Ruth Long; son, Clay Long of Knoxville; daughter, Lisa Wilson of Maryville; daughter & son-in-law, Pam & Scott Davis of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Katheryn & Christopher Dunlap, Shannon & Aaron Fowler, Betsy, Evan and Caroline Davis, Parker & Ethan Long; great-grandchildren, Claire Dunlap & Caleb Fowler.


The family will receive friends Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 5:30pm until 7:30pm at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 7:30pm. Interment will be 11:00am, Monday, October 19, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery.
